Use Clearday from Claude, Cursor or VS Code.
Connect the assistant you already use to your Clearday account. It reads your money through Clearday, and any change it suggests waits for your approval. It cannot move money.
app.clearday.money/api/mcpThe one address every app asks for.
Set up
Three apps, checked to work.
Clearday works with Claude, Cursor and VS Code. These steps follow each app’s own documentation.
Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Click “+ Add”, then “Add custom connector”.
- Name it Clearday, paste the address, and click Continue.
- Review the authentication settings, click Continue, then click Add.
- Sign in to Clearday when asked, and choose what Claude may do.
- In a chat, use the “+” button, then Connectors, to turn Clearday on.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector in Organization settings, Connectors; members then connect it from Customize, Connectors.
Claude’s Free plan allows one custom connector.

Sign-in
You sign in on Clearday and choose what the app may do.
Every app sends you to Clearday to sign in. The app gets a key to your account, never your password. You pick one of three levels, and the app never gets more than it asked for:
- Read only
- See your accounts, transactions, bills, goals and plans.
- Read and suggest changes
- Also suggest changes. Nothing changes until you approve it in Clearday.
- Read, suggest and approve
- Also approve or undo its own low-risk suggestions without asking you. Bigger changes still wait for you in Clearday. Offered only if you signed in within the last 10 minutes.
A sign-in lasts 180 days. Connected apps work while your plan or free trial is active.
Access
What a connected app can see and do.
- Read
- Accounts and balances, transactions, what’s clear to spend today, upcoming bills and recurring charges, the cash flow forecast, debts and payoff scenarios, goals, rules, settings and the financial health report.
- Suggest
- Recategorize transactions, add notes and tags, create category rules and merchant names, update manual accounts and balances, add or change bills and goals, set planned debt payments and the daily allowance. Each suggestion waits for you in Clearday, expires after 24 hours, and an approved change can be undone for 7 days.
- Approve
- Only with the third level: approve or undo its own low-risk suggestions. Larger changes, such as recategorizing more than 25 transactions, and suggestions from other apps still wait for you.
- Never
- Move money. No connected app can move money, at any level.
- Limits
- Each app can make 120 requests a minute and 5,000 a day, and 60 changes an hour, with up to 50 suggestions waiting at once.
Connected apps get your real names and figures, and Clearday AI’s figure checks do not apply to what they say.
Disconnect
Disconnect an app any time.
In Clearday, open Settings, then Connected apps, and choose Disconnect next to the app. It loses access on its next request. To use it again, connect it again and sign in.
