A finance app that never shows more room than there is.

Clearday started as a tool for one household. The person who built it needed a finance app that never shows more room than there is, and could not find one. Every app they tried showed a balance, and a balance is not what you can spend. It still includes the bill that has not cleared and the card statement due next week.

So the arithmetic got written down: cash, minus every bill, card statement and loan payment due before the next paycheck, minus a small buffer. What was left was the number that mattered each morning. Clearday is that arithmetic, done carefully and shown in full, so you can check it.

A few rules came from that. The app reads your accounts and never moves money. Every figure is computed by code, to the cent, including the ones the assistant quotes. When the honest answer is zero, or less than zero, the app says so and helps you plan around it, rather than rounding it into comfort.
